Desk update · 04 November 2026 · 09:20 UTC · scanner snapshot 09:00 UTC
The 09:00 scanner ranked GBP/USD long at 94/100, but that is a technical setup score—not a 94% chance of winning. At 09:19, the latest complete M1 candle closed at 1.34923, just above the 1.34922 London high. The current M15 candle is still open; the last completed M15 candle closed at 1.34862, below that breakout level.
The original scanner entry zone, 1.34787–1.34816, is now more than 10 pips below price. Buying at 1.34923 would chase the move and materially worsen the risk-to-reward. There is no fresh entry now. UK Services PMI is due at 09:30 UTC; wait for the release, a completed M15 close and a retest before reassessing.
Why the broader bias remains constructive
CapDeskPro’s 08:41 analysis snapshot had H1, H4 and daily direction aligned bullish and price above the 1.34140 daily pivot. Its nearest marked support was 1.34477, with resistance at 1.35008 and 1.35144. The pair has risen about 59 pips from the 00:00 UTC open at 1.34333. Those facts support the bullish backdrop, but the M15 close has not confirmed a break of 1.34922.
Decision: keep the original plan conditional. If GBP/USD returns to 1.34787–1.34816 after the PMI and stabilises there, the entry zone can be reassessed against the original 1.34524 invalidation and targets. If price stays above the zone, let it go. The score is a ranking of technical inputs, not a probability, guarantee or instruction to buy.
