How the money is made.

Angle: The 1983 bet that a total beginner can be taught to trade – the documented $175M result, the free rules behind it, and the 40-50% win rate nobody leads with.

In 1983 commodity trader Richard Dennis, betting he could teach anyone to trade, trained 23 complete beginners in a rules-based futures system and funded them with his own money of about $500,000 to $2,000,000 each.

The Turtles reportedly earned about $175 million combined over about five years, an average compound return of roughly 80% a year.

The full original rules were released free by original Turtle Curtis Faith: 20-day and 55-day breakout entries, average-true-range volatility position sizing, and never risking more than 2% per trade.

The system wins only about 40-50% of the time with large drawdowns, and Dennis himself later lost more than half his assets in 1987-1988.
