The month, trade by trade

The curve is the account’s running balance through the month, drawn from every closed trade rather than a daily sample. It is published with its drawdown in the same size type, because a return without the number underneath it is a marketing document, not a record.

Drawdown is measured as a percentage; the worst day inside the month is the lowest close-to-close change of the balance curve in that month.
What it cost to produce
The peak drawdown inside the month was 3.98%, with no losing day booked in the month. Position size and stop distance keep that number small; the outer drawdown limit on the account is agreed with the client before trading starts and applied to the account.
Nothing is carried overnight. Every position is closed before the session ends, so the account goes into every evening flat, and the floating P/L at the month end was zero. The average win and the average loss are close in size (1.11 : 1): the edge is being right 60.2% of the time on small targets, not a handful of large winners.
November has commenced trading
Five days into November: 134 trades closed, +5.3% on the month, balance $71,313.07.
The record updates with every closed trade, and the same rules run: one position at a time, a stop written before the entry, flat before the close.
What the system is doing
NIC-X trades a displaced print: the same instrument quoted at two different prices at the same moment, because FX and metals are over-the-counter pairs with no single exchange to anchor a price. When a print is away from where the rest of the market is dealing, the system takes the mispriced side. It only engages when the gap clears the round-trip cost by a multiple, every order is sent Fill-or-Kill on FIX 4.4, and the stop is written before the entry exists. It is not latency arbitrage and it does not bet on price reverting to an average — it arbitrages the print.

How to read this record

Every trade is on the public record, every day, with the drawdown next to the return. What the system is worth is decided by the curve across months, not by one of them — an edge that only shows up in the good months is not an edge.

Past performance is not a guarantee of future results. Trading leveraged products involves risk. Figures are taken from the public FX Blue record for the NIC-X account on 2026-11-05 and shown in USD.
